Differences from diode lasers

1.Wavelengths

Alexandrite lasers have slightly shorter wavelengths, ranging from 755 to 765 nanometers. Therefore, these lasers are also effective at targeting melanin. Shorter wavelengths may limit penetration depth, making them more suitable for precise and superficial treatments.

2.Skin type and hair removal suitability

Diode lasers are known for their versatility and can be used on a variety of skin types, including light to medium-dark complexions. Therefore, diode lasers can effectively remove various color hair types. However, achieving optimal results often requires multiple treatments.

The alexandrite laser is most effective on people with light to olive skin tones and is better at removing fine and light-colored hair.

3.Treatment depth and speed

Diode lasers can penetrate the skin more deeply, making them suitable for hair removal on all parts of the body. Additionally, these lasers allow for rapid treatment, allowing larger areas to be treated effectively.
